National Achievement Rate Average: How Does The Learning Foundry Stack Up?

The Learning Foundry has long been renowned as a professional and knowledgeable, full-service training provider that offers training to meet the needs of both the individual and businesses across Merseyside and the North West. We are proud that so many apprentices that come through the doors of our campus at The Watson Building show themselves to be as dynamic, driven and ambitious as we strive to be as a training provider, but how does The Learning Foundry stack up when it comes to the facts and figures?

The recent statistics published by the Department for Education and Educational and Skills Funding Agency, in their Standards Achievement Paper highlight the commitment and excellence of our  apprentices and staff, with official statistics showing that The Learning Foundry is now sitting 6.9% above the average national achievement rate of 64.7%.

The Learning Foundry’s success, with an achievement rate of 71.6% in 2018/19, in usurping the national average and bucking the nationwide trend, is a result of a conscientious year-round push and emphasis on quality. The Learning Foundry is governed by two regulatory bodies; the ESFA, which provides funding for many qualifications and OFSTED, and continually strives to go above and beyond requirements. Our  2018/19 success was made even more laudable, given the average achievement rate at The Learning Foundry rose by a remarkable 12% up from 59.6% in 2017/18.

The Learning Foundry is now one of the top 10 performing providers in the Liverpool City Region and sits 7% above the average achievement rate in that region. All of us at The Learning Foundry are delighted with this success throughout the 2018/19 educational year and our relentless focus on Making Talent Shine will keep us on track for even further improvements this year.

While it’s wonderful to witness our apprentices having great success, it’s equally satisfying for us to see the daily difference and impact they make to businesses throughout Merseyside and the North West. On average, each apprentice brings a gain of £10,000 per year for their employer and 77% of employers agreed that apprentices helped to make their organisations more competitive, these stats speak for themselves.

It’s fantastic for the Liverpool City Region that The Learning Foundry is making such progress and we are both grateful to and proud of our wonderful employers who support them every day to make talent shine.
