The Learning Foundry awarded £3.3 million to deliver training to adults in the Liverpool City Region

We are pleased to announce that The Learning Foundry are one of the new local providers to have been awarded Adult Education Budget (AEB) funding from Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA).

The £3.3 million contract will help to provide funded training to people aged 19 and over living in any of the six Local Authority areas of the Liverpool City Region.

AEB is a LCRCA programme that can be accessed by employers and individuals to fund a huge range of training. It’s a great resource that individuals can use to kick-start a career and help them upskill into better paid jobs. For employers AEB funding can be utilised to train their existing workforce and support staff with career progression.

Joanne Abraham, Managing Director at The Learning Foundry said; “Achieving this funding for AEB, will allow us to do so much more to support local people into training and jobs. Previously we have offered adult training via other great providers, now as a prime provider we have more flexibility to support business and individuals achieve their aspirations and aid the region’s post-pandemic recovery.”

As part of the AEB contract, The Learning Foundry will partner with Inside Connections to deliver construction and civil engineering programmes. Inside Connections was formed in 2017, to provide wrap-around services and support and access to training for individuals in custody, care, or the armed forces, as well as those in the community.

John Burton, Founder of Inside Connections said; “This funding will help us provide more opportunities for people to focus their talents into something constructive. Giving people a chance to create a better life for themselves and become an asset to employers.”

Through AEB funding we will also be offering funded pre-employment programmes. These are short sector specific courses designed to match people looking for work and employers looking to recruit. These short courses provide an opportunity to be trained with the specific skills needed to excel at interview and hit the ground running from day one of starting work.

The Learning Foundry have over 25 years’ experience in delivering training and apprenticeships and we are an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ provider. We offer aspirational programmes, that maximise employability opportunities and tackle skills gaps, with a focus on supporting everyone into meaningful paid work. We achieve this by working with other grass roots organisations to provide innovative learning opportunities to over 1000 people each year.
