Operations or Departmental Manager

Who is it for?
Ideal for professionals who manage teams or projects and are responsible for achieving operational or departmental goals.
Entry requirements
To undertake this programme, learners must be practicing or aspiring middle managers who have the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the qualification. They must hold five GCSE’s (grade A* - C / 9-4) or achieve Level 2 in English and Maths during initial assessment.
Qualification
Learners will achieve the apprenticeship standard for operations or departmental manager (Level 5)
Progression route
This qualification allows learners to progress in their career or to the following ILM qualifications:
- ILM Level 6 Award in Management
- Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (England only)
- ILM Level 7 qualifications in Management and Leadership.
Team Leader or Supervisor

18 months
Who is it for?
Ideal for aspiring professionals taking their first steps into management or those with some experience of managing a team or project and wanting to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Entry requirements
To undertake this programme, learners must be practising managers who have the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the qualification. They must hold five GCSE’s (grade A* - C / 9-4) or achieve Level 2 in English and Maths during initial assessment.
Qualification
Learners will achieve the apprenticeship standard for Team leader or Supervisor (Level 3)
Progression route
Progression onto higher level management programmes, including Operations or Departmental manager.
