Meet the Housing Ombudsman at The Learning Foundry

Last week, we welcomed customers and colleagues from housing associations across the Liverpool City Region to ‘Meet the Housing Ombudsman’ at The Learning Foundry.

More than 80 people joined us in person and online to hear from Richard Blakeway, the Housing Ombudsman, Andrea Keenoy, Chief Operating Officer.

Richard spoke about the role of the Housing Ombudsman in resolving customer complaints, and the way they support landlords to make service improvements.

Customers were invited to ask questions about the service, including the investigation process, the complaint handling code and dispute support.

At The Learning Foundry, we work closely with the housing sector to train and develop their staff and communities. As part of The Regenda Group, we understand social housing – including the challenges around complaint handling and the drive to professionalise the sector to ensure customers get the best service. We work with organisations to empower staff and people in our communities, giving them opportunities to shine!

The Learning Foundry’s Head of Commercial, Steve Blackburn, said:

“Housing is a key part of everything we do at The Learning Foundry. To be able to offer people in our community the opportunity to feedback directly to the Ombudsman helps us at TLF to empower the people and communities in which we work.”

Stephanie Harrison, Executive Director Operations – Customer Service, at The Regenda Group, said:

“It was great to welcome the Housing Ombudsman to meet our customers and colleagues. The discussion in the room highlighted the many ways the Ombudsman supports residents and landlords, and how the service helps us improve services for our customers. Thank you to everyone who joined us.”
