Join our Youthquakers at the Good Business Festival

Our Youthquakers are taking to the stage at the Good Business Festival once more to pitch their business ideas to a panel of experts!

Join us on 23rd March from 2pm to 4pm at the Liverpool Guild of Students as they enter the dragon’s den to pitch their creative business solutions.

What is Youthquake?

Youthquake is a unique training programme from the Good Business Festival for 16-24 year olds in the Liverpool City Region, delivered by The Learning Foundry in partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the Regenda Group. It gives young people the opportunity to take action for the common good - learning, collaborating and working towards making their social enterprise ideas a reality.

Following the success of previous Youthquake programmes from the Good Business Festival and The Learning Foundry, we're back for a third time, this time with the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership joining us as a sponsor to help ensure that all communities across the Liverpool City Region have the right to be free from violence to provide the best life chances for all.

What is happening at the Good Business Festival?

Over the past 10 weeks, our Youthquakers have researched local issues of youth violence and crime, and will be pitching their business solutions head-to-head with our panel of business leaders and influencers once more as part of a Dragon's Den event at the Good Business Festival - with creative ideas to solve key issues in their local areas, and to be part of the global movement for good.

They will introduce the dragons to two business concepts - Tribe, a virtual life coach app for 11-17 year olds with routes to advice on bullying, support services, safe spaces, and routes away from violence, and Ignite U, a programme to work with young people to prevent violence and provide rehabilitation support to help previous offenders reintegrate.

Our expert dragons include:

Detective Superintendent Siobhan Gainer – Head of Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership

Emily Spurrell – Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside

Dave Brown – MD of Apposing

Dawn Paine – CEO of Aurora Agency
