Making music happen in Lancashire – Expanding our Sound Check programme

Earlier this year, The Learning Foundry won funding from the Department of Education to develop and deliver our Skills Bootcamp programmes across Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, West Yorkshire and the wider North West.

After the initial success of Sound Check, in partnership with Future Yard, we’re really excited to be giving more people the opportunity to access the programme, from its new home at The Ferret in Preston.

We’re so proud of our Sound Check programme. Together with Future Yard, we’ve been working with young people and adults across the Liverpool City Region to launch careers in live music and events, from landing roles in technical production to event management.

The Ferret supports our vision to create accessible opportunities for people to gain sustainable careers in the live music and events industries, and we’re excited to be working alongside them to provide people in Preston with the opportunity kickstart their career in live music, and help us make music happen.

Our next cohort is starting on Tuesday 30th April – and you can be a part of it. The course is fully-funded for anyone 19+ living in the Preston area.
